On Wednesday (26.02), we had the pleasure of participating in an industry event organized by the Dolnośląska Okręgowa Izba Architektów and eduArch: “EDUCATION AND CULTURE: How to design public facilities”, which was a unique opportunity to visit the MILESTONE Student Apartments Wrocław Fabryczna facility and check the applied solutions in practice in the company of the facility’s designers.
The design of MILESTONE Student Apartments at 22 Fabryczna Street in Wroclaw refers to the industrial history of the area – the building stands in the place where railroad infrastructure used to exist and the Linke-Hofmann-Werke rail vehicle factory, which produced rolling stock in the early 20th century, operated. Here, tradition has become the foundation of the entire architectural concept by referring to the industrial context and using appropriate materials, which at the same time emphasize the modern character of the building and allude to the raw beauty of a bygone era.
