We present our concept of a modern multi-family housing estate Browarna Wroclaw, developed as part of a competition organized by Archicom SA.
→ The concept calls for the construction of a multifunctional complex, including 5 multi-family buildings of varying heights. The project envisaged service premises located in the first floors, underground garages and a rich infrastructure supporting the integration of residents and fostering recreation. The intimate and exclusive nature of the estate was to be ensured by semi-private spaces shaped by the layout of the buildings.
The project’s highlights:
▪️ 45 000 m² PUM – space designed with functionality and comfort of residents in mind
▪️ Architecture with soul – reference to the history and context of the place, inspired by the past
▪️ Ecological design solutions – supporting sustainable development and concern for the environment, which included. These included: green roofs with greenhouses, water recycling systems, photovoltaic panels placed both on the roof and in the form of balcony balustrades and loggias made of photovoltaic composite glass , gardens on the roof, allowing residents to grow vegetables and fruit, the use of green roofs to prevent overheating of buildings and improve the microclimate in the housing estate, the use of anti-smog paint on the outer walls of buildings and a pedestrian and bicycle route along the Municipal Canal.
▪️ Functional urban layout – the optimal arrangement of buildings and common spaces that promote the convenience of daily life, smooth communication and integration of residents, while blending harmoniously into the urban fabric.
